Mitsuhiro Terakawa is an Associate Professor at Keio University. He received his BS, MS, and PhD degrees from Keio University in 2003, 2005, and 2007, respectively. After he started his own group as a principal investigator at Keio University in 2013, he has been dedicated to studying ultrafast laser processing, laser processing of biomaterials, laser drug delivery, and laser-based nanostructure formation. Recently, his research focuses on laser-based subtractive and additive processing of soft materials including biomaterials, cells, and hydrogels to create new biodevices as well as active biohybrid implants.
