The Stephens Lounge is located on the 3rd floor of the  ASUC Student Union: Martin Luther King Jr. Building at  2495 Bancroft Way, Berkeley, CA 94720. The main entrance can be viewed on the attached map marked by the star. The closest parking is available at the Lower Sproul parking garage(basement level of the building) or the RSF garage( a 3 minute walk from the building). Guests can pay for parking at the yellow kiosk in the parking garages. There is also a public parking garage located one block over at  2450 Durant Ave, Berkeley, CA 94704 that guests can use if our lots are full. 

Many visitors to the UC Berkeley campus choose to stay at the Residence Inn Berkeley due to its proximity to campus. 
 

This course is about providing the individual appointed as Laser Safety Officer with reasonable and adequate guidance for identifying laser hazards and implementing control measures for these hazards. The course is based on the ANSI Z136.8 - Safe Use of Lasers in Research, Development, or Testing.

This course is tailored for individuals newly appointed as Laser Safety Officers and placed in charge of laser safety at corporate research laboratories, universities, and colleges using lasers in graduate-level programs in physics, chemistry, and electro-optics laboratories, as well as Department of Energy research laboratories. In addition, current Laser Safety Officers at R & D laboratories and testing labs who would like a review or refresher course are encouraged to attend.
