Some research results of the developed technology of rapid prototyping are presented. Two schemes of process realization are discussed. First - laser sintering of the powder material layer after its compressing with rollers, second - material sintering at powder injection into the zone of laser irradiation. As basic material for products manufacturing different powders on Ni, Co, Ti and others were studied. To find the optimal working conditions the methods of calculation experiments and their planning were used. It was found that to increase the productivity and processing quality without the use of additional energy sources the most efficient way was the applying of the additional scanning of the focused laser radiation within the limits of the focused spot.
