Resulting from the optimal combination of slab shaped laser crystal, line shaped diode laser beam, large area and one dimensional conduction cooling and hybrid-resonator design, slab lasers unify features: high beam quality, short pulse duration, high pulse energy and high peak power, high pulse repetition rate and average power and scalability at superior performances. Furthermore, INNOSLAB lasers have high flexibility in beam profile, from circular beam profile, through line shaped one dimensional top-hat, to two dimensional top-hat with rectangular cross section. Those open for INNOSLAB laser a variety of unique applications with added value, such as glass processing, ablation, pumping of dye lasers and Ti:sapphire lasers and particle imaging velocimetry. In this talk, concepts, features and new developments of slab laser oscillators and amplifiers and examples of their favourable applications will be presented and discussed.
