Trend Analysis of Laser Micromachining - Invited Presentation - 40 Minutes

This paper will use TRIZ trend tools to analyze the trends of laser micromachining technology and system development. It is argued that laser micromachining technology is in S2 stage on its S-curve, and this requires consideration of scale-up and standardization. Several major chanllenges will also be highlighted, such as depth limit, speed limit and quality limit.
