Presented at ICALEO 2012
High-strength and ultra high-strength steels are used more and more frequently in the engineering industry. The welding of high-strength steels requires lower heat input welding processes to achieve matching joints. Laser and laser-GMA hybrid welding processes are used for the welding of these kinds of steels. The Finnish steel maker Rautaruukki makes high and ultra-high strength steels under the trademark Optim. In earlier studies, the welding position for these steels has been a flat position ...$28.00

Presented at ICALEO 2012
The authors have developed laser welding technologies for about 20 years. Our practical application has been started for thin stainless steel products in 1999. In this study, we developed high power laser welding system for thick plate products. A 10kW fiber laser is used for this system. By using this system, we can fabricate thick plate products whose thicknesses are 15mm max. We applied this laser welding system for some parts of chemical pla...$28.00
